Account Verification and Anti-Money-Laundering Policy
Every licensed gambling operator has to know who its customers are, and this page explains how that works here, in the order you will meet it. Verification is not a hurdle invented to delay payouts, though it can feel that way when a request arrives at the wrong moment. It exists because our licence, and international anti-money-laundering standards, make identity checks a condition of holding player funds at all. Reading this before your first withdrawal is the single easiest way to get paid without a wait.
What Verification Is For
Three risks sit behind the whole procedure. The first is underage play, which identity documents rule out. The second is money laundering, where gambling accounts are used to convert funds of unclear origin into clean payouts, which transaction monitoring and source-of-funds checks address. The third is account theft and payment fraud, which is why we confirm that the person withdrawing is the person who deposited. Each check maps to one of these risks rather than existing for its own sake.
When Documents Are Requested
Registration does not require an upload, so you can create an account and play without sending anything. A verification request is normally triggered before your first withdrawal, and it can also appear when a deposit pattern changes, when a new payment method is added, when cumulative turnover passes a threshold, or when a payout involves winnings from a free bonus. In some cases we ask earlier, on our own initiative or because a regulator requires it. Sending documents in advance is allowed and usually removes the wait entirely.
Proof of Identity
We accept a valid passport, a national identity card or a driving licence. Whichever you choose, the copy has to show your photograph, full name, date of birth and expiry date, and all four edges of the document must be inside the frame. Photographs taken with a phone are fine if the text is legible and there is no glare across the data page. Documents that have expired, been cropped or been edited in any way are rejected automatically.
Proof of Address
A recent utility bill, bank or card statement, or official letter from a government body confirms where you live. The document should be dated within the last three months and must show your name, the same address held on your account, the issuing organisation and its logo. Screenshots from online banking are accepted when they display the same details, including the bank’s branding. Envelopes, delivery labels and handwritten documents do not qualify.
Proof of Payment Method
The requirement depends on how you moved money. For a card, we ask for an image showing the first six and last four digits, the cardholder name and the expiry date, with the middle digits and the CVV code covered. For a bank account, a statement or screenshot showing your name, the account number or IBAN, the bank’s logo and at least one transaction. For an e-wallet, a screenshot of the account page with your name, the registered email or phone number and the wallet identifier visible. For cryptocurrency, the wallet address used, the transaction hash and evidence that the wallet belongs to you.
Enhanced Checks and Source of Funds
Larger balances and unusual patterns bring a second stage. This can include a selfie holding your identity document, a short liveness or video check, or questions about where the money being staked came from. Acceptable evidence includes payslips, bank statements covering several months, a tax return, business income records, a sale agreement, inheritance documents or an exchange history for cryptocurrency. These requests are not an accusation. They are the standard response when the size or shape of activity crosses a threshold that our obligations attach to.
How Long Checks Take
A standard document set is usually reviewed within 24 hours of a complete upload, and often faster during business hours. Enhanced checks involving source of funds take longer, typically a few business days, because a human reviewer reads the material rather than a system scanning it. The clock restarts when a file is unreadable or a corner is missing, which is why the framing rules above matter more than they look. Our support staff will tell you exactly which item failed rather than sending the whole set back.
Payment Rules That Limit Risk
Withdrawals return to the method used for the deposit wherever payment rules require it, and this closed-loop principle is the backbone of anti-money-laundering control in this industry. Where the original method cannot receive funds, a payout goes to an alternative in your own name and never to a third party. Deposits made from an account, card or wallet belonging to someone else are reversed and can lead to the account being closed. Currency stays consistent within an account so that a balance cannot be cycled through conversions.
One Account Per Person
Each player is allowed a single account, and the rule extends to one account per household, IP address, device and payment method. Duplicate accounts are closed when we find them, bonuses claimed through them are voided, and real deposits are returned according to our terms. The restriction exists because multiple identities are the simplest route to both bonus abuse and structured deposits. Anyone who has genuinely created a second account by accident should tell support before playing on it rather than after.
Monitoring, Holds and Reporting
Transactions are monitored automatically against risk patterns, and matches are reviewed by staff. Where activity raises a concern, an account can be limited or frozen while the review runs, and deposits or withdrawals may be paused during that period. We are required to report certain findings to the relevant authorities, and we cannot always disclose that a report has been made or what it contains. Accounts that clear review are restored in full with balances untouched.
Your Responsibilities
Register with your legal name and real address, and update them when they change, since a mismatch between your documents and your account details is the most common cause of a delayed payout. Use payment methods registered to yourself. Answer verification requests promptly, because an unanswered request keeps a withdrawal pending indefinitely. Deliberately supplying false information voids winnings and closes the account, and that outcome is not negotiable afterwards.
How Your Documents Are Handled
Uploaded files are stored in restricted systems, viewed only by staff whose role covers verification, and never passed to marketing or to other players. Retention follows the periods set by our licence and anti-money-laundering rules, which run for several years after an account closes, after which files are deleted. Our privacy policy sets out your access and correction rights in full. Documents should always be sent through the secure upload form or to the support address in the site footer, never through social media or third-party messengers, and support at Rocket Riches - will never ask for your password or the CVV code from your card.
